Seriously, how cute is this picture? This is my darling nephew, Carter John and my Dad at Disneyland a week or so ago. I have no idea what was ahead but Carter doesn't seem to be too sure of his future.
On a side note, I went back to the old design. I am over it but it's better than the 'stock' version. Does the title bar match though? I can't tell....

a little game of tag
I’ve been tagged by Robyn!
1.) I love doing math, I would do trigonometry Friday night if I had a math book.
2.) There were only 73 students in my graduating class in a town of 2,500 people.
3.) I usually dress Courtney to match me…subconsciously.
4.) I didn’t start wearing make-up until I was 26 years old.
5.) I don’t drink cold drinks, everything is room temperature.
6.) I spray Paul’s clothes with cologne in the closet because he won’t wear it himself.
7.) I played pitcher, shortstop, and first base in boys little league baseball for 6 years…and was good.
I tag Jill, Amanda, Alicia, and Lisa

warning
this site is JACKED up! nothing is working right. i know html code and it just isn't making sense! when i add a picture, the stupid text is still there. i am so frustrated right now. i need a code red. this is not the typical annie site! but this time, it's really not my fault. i'm so frustrated i'm not even using my shift key to make capitals, or proper grammar or proper punctuation. i don't even care. if i were you, and this is the most recent post, i would shut this window and come back at a later date. like when blogger gets their act together. bad blogger.
are my titles HUGE? why are they huge? is there a picture in the header? it disappeared, all on it's own. is there a description under the title. again, all by itself it went away...

The Power of Prayer
So the other day Paul and I were in our Wednesday night spiritual development class. It's usually a lot of fun and we get a lot out of it. But Wednesday was a little different...we were not getting along, at all. Actually we hadn't been getting along much in the past couple of days. We are married, we have problems, not a big shocker. Details not needed but we just couldn't get on the same page and neither of us was willing to budge. So we are in this class, a couples class on how to have better love now, making your marriage a life long love affair and we are not talking, we are not looking at each other, we are not participating together, we are not happy to be there together. We get through the class (still learning a lot) and are getting ready to leave. Clint asks for prayer requests and I sit there..."do I say something, do I keep my mouth shut, say something Annie, you need it", these are my thoughts. So, hesitantly I say something. I ask the class if they could pray for Paul and I, that we are struggling right now and we just need some prayers. When I opened my mouth I figured Clint would just write it down and say 'of course'. Oh boy was I wrong. Regina is in there and if you don't know Regina, you should! She asks if they could pray for us now. "ok" I think "they are going to pray now, awesome". Again, no no no. The class gets up and walks over to me and Paul, surround us and put there hands upon us.
Side note: I grew up in the Lutheran church...Lutherans don't do that.
I had seen people do it before but never experienced it. Boy, God is amazing. What warmth and love you feel through prayer, having some strangers and friends alike standing over you with their hands upon your shoulder praying for you, it was amazing! The Holy Spirit was present, I could feel it in my heart and through the words that were spoken by Regina.
So we left church that night with prayers on our shoulders, went home, and fought like cats and dogs! I didn't title this "The power of a miracle" did I? :-) But you know what, we are doing better. We did not fall asleep that night with the problem as it was.

Courtney's mini photo shoot
I love photography! Besides children; I would like to say it's my God given passion and talent. Courtney and I often wait outside for Dada to get home from work and this day I saw a perfect photo opportunity. She drug this hat out of the 'too small' box in her closet and insisted on wearing it all day, she has been anti-shirt lately and just looked too cute. Here are a few of the shots I got.

Since 1949...
Is it just me or when you go to make your family a healthy meal that includes minute rice, do you end up with this same problem? EVERY time I make rice it ends up everywhere! This company has been around since 1949, they are the inventors of minute rice! They recently changed their box which I instantly thought "yeah! problem solved, no more rice every where" but no, that wasn't the case. I think they just made the problem worse. I just don't know what to do. Try a different brand, not make my family rice for dinner, invent a rice pouring machine, write a letter to Minute rice...or just deal with it. I am at a loss...someone H E L P!

Just some cute pictures
My first wedding...
Photos, that is...Our friend's Daniel and Alisa got married on Friday and I was fortunate enough to be the photographer. I have always loved photography and people say I'm good, but I was soooooooooo nervous. It was a very small, informal wedding and they are friends so they were totally cool about everything but I was still super nervous. The pictures turned out great though, at least they are happy and that is all that matters! I did learn a lot from the experience and hope to do some more in the future...when my dad is out here and can be my assistant. :-) Here are a few pictures from that day...

creepy toy and a cat
This may look like your average baby toy that plays sweet music and makes your child giggle, but let me warn you, it is not. This is a creepy toy that plays when it wants to in the middle of the night. Please don't think I am crazy, I may be, but we aren't talking about that. This toy is triggered by motion, this toy requires someone to move it to make it play that sweet music. Yet, while we are lying in bed last night, we heard this sweet music and it scared the poo out of me! A fluke you may say? Well, it played itself 4 times before I went to turn it off!!!! To make things even more creepy, it didn't wake Courtney up. Everything wakes Courtney up!!! CREEPY!
I say "a cat", what I would like to say is "a dead cat", "a cat no longer in my site", "a cat we once knew"...you get the drift.
Courtney and I left this morning at 8 for a Bible study (Beth Moore, awesome!) and we returned around noon. I parked the truck, got the baby out and proceeded to enter the house as normal. This was no normal day though, this CAT was in my house! It's our cat but I didn't care at that time. Apparently Mr Sneaky ran in when I left the door open to grab Courtney's milk this morning. That was so not cool. He thought it was I bet, but I did not. You see, I do not like cats, I do not like animals, I like babies, not animals. Paul likes cats, Paul likes animals, Paul likes babies too, but Paul likes animals. This is his animal and his animal made our house stinky! I was freaking out, I was on my knees feeling the floor, feeling the carpet, sniffing behind the couch and the tv...I couldn't find it, that smell was everywhere! I started having visions of putting our house for sale, no for "give away" because of a nasty smell. I can't live in a house with a nasty smell.
So far, we think the house was smelly from him, just him, no pee pee. Paul came home a few hours later with Blaine and they both claim to have no sense of cat pee pee in my house. I figured I was just used to it, do you get used to that smell?!?!? So, for tonight, lets just hope he didn't pee pee in my house! Final verdict will be in tomorrow night when I get home...
Bad kitty!

Paul's 1st Post
These are my 2 latest additions to my model collection. Everyone should recognize the General Lee. Ethan asked me to build that one for him. The other orange car is the first car I ever had. It's a 1969 Nova. I built this model once when I was about 13 or 14 and have been trying to get the kit for a year and it finally came in. This is probably the one I am most proud of. I had fabricated a bunch of parts and it seems to have come out better than the others so far. I tried to do all the modifications I tried when I was a kids but could not do, so please act interested for a few seconds. Today I sat around the house while Annie was sick dying on the couch so I had the day to play with Courtney and she actually helped me build it and paint a few parts. A couple times I caught her grabbing it off the table swinging it while she brought it to me in the living room while it was drying. Annie is raising a little prissy girl, but she definitely has my blood in her because she can spot a race car a mile away.

uh....
Brain toot toot. I have been on here almost every day and just can't come up with any thing to write. Weird! I'll give it a whirl though...
Courtney has officially turned into the biggest ham in the world! I get the camera out and she is all smiles, too big of smiles some times! Daddy captured this first one, this is her favorite place to sit. Yes, she is sitting in the fridge. What a weird-o, I know. Whenever I open it, she goes and sits there. The other day she was talking on my phone, went and sat in the fridge and was done talking so she proceeded to put my phone in the door shelf, next to the ketchup. Boy, I'm glad I was there to see that, can you imagine trying to find a phone that is in the fridge? (My mother-in-law can :-))
Here is smiley at KDO in the wagon with her friends. The little girl next to her is Carlee and is so darn adorable too! Little Will is in the back, just hanging out and then there is Selah, just chillin'.
Another picture at KDO, what a goof!
In other news; Blaine (my brother) comes home tomorrow!!! He graduated from AIT today and is officially an Army Soldier. I am so proud of him and can't wait to see him. He has not been home since Memorial day weekend and that is just too long! We are not sure what he is going to do yet; if he'll ship off to war or what. So please pray for him and his safety in whatever he does.
Right now I am listening to a sermon suggested by Angela and I'm hooked! I tell you what, New Spring Church out of South Carolina (maybe North, I'm not so good at geography). Anyway, it is awesome. Their site is www.newspring.cc. This is a great pastor who preaches on modern culture issues and really relates the Bible's teaching in ways that really make sense.
Ok, I can't type and listen. Bye-bye
